Research Project: Strategies for Building Resilience in Critical Infrastructure
INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE
The increasingly diverse risks that critical infrastructure owners and operators face, the resulting public and political scrutiny and the interdependencies within the supply chain present significant challenges.
The cascading impacts of recent crisis events that have been reported in the media has seen a significant drop in market value for some organisation’s, a lack of community confidence for others and the resignation of chief executives and ministers.
In January 2017, the Federal Government announced a new focus on the ownership and resilience of critical infrastructure assets and the Victorian Government continue to have legislation in place to ensure critical infrastructure providers can provide assurance to key stakeholders of their capability in this area.
Janellis have been working with executives and board within organisations owning and operating critical infrastructure since 2006 and we have insights into the changing priorities and approaches in the areas of crisis management and organisational resilience.
To share the most current thinking in this area, we are conducting a research activity with executive leaders and boards on the challenges and opportunities in building resilience. The focus areas will include:
* The value of resilience in protecting and supporting the organisation’s strategic initiatives
* Key approaches to building resilience – targeted vs strategic
* The role of the executive and board in a crisis
The findings will be presented in a special report and at a facilitated event.
